Anyone living in the Northeast is seeing this winter wonderland out their window this morning. It looks so pretty all pristine. Sun shining and a balmy 30 degrees – Wind chill ?
Like a post card.

Yesterday was a fun Snow Day, all cozy, stranded at home, baking cookies, watching movies, sitting by the fire.
Today everything is still shut down, but it is dig out day. Hard Labor.
For anyone living in the south, these are snow shovels. The one in the front is an ice chipper. My personal fav is the blue one. It works great when I spray a little Pam on it. It keeps the snow from sticking to the shovel.

What’s a poor doggie to do? We chunnel a path for Schnitzel. He is used to having the whole back yard to romp around in.
This effort is my contribution so far. This amount of snow 18″-24″ calls for 3 level shoveling. You take off the top, then the middle, then you finally hit the sidewalk on the third pass. Only to start again a foot away. Our front walk doesn’t get any sun until the late afternoon and turns to ice if we don’t remove the snow ASAP.
I am wishing I was here right now.
I hope you have an enjoyable, shovel-free day.

Yeah, waiting for my teenager to get home from his first day back to school. The one good thing about teenage boys is they are really handy with a snow shovel if there’s a nice big meal ready for them afterwards!

Hi Angi-
I have two girls and they are away at school. It is my husband and me. When they were around they were a huge help. We could have used your boys this morning. I hope they enjoy their big yummy meal after they shovel.

Is it wierd to say I’m a little jealous of all the snow the rest of the country is getting? Over here in southern Cali it just hasn’t felt like much of a winter. Maybe it’s the beautiful snowy pictures that I LOVE. I might not feel the same if I were living in the middle of it!

I know it probably wasn’t fun but I have to tell you the pictures are beautiful. I especially love the all-white photo w/ the fence ~ true beauty!
Your blog is delightful!
