Hi Everybody-
I can’t thank you enough for all the flowers and cards, wonderful e-mails and get well wishes you have left for me. They have brought tons of sunshine into the four walls I have had to call home for the past week. I am still here – in the hospital, but feeling sooooooooooooooooooo much better. I have been poked and prodded so much that my arms are black and blue from IV’s and needles. Scanned, X-ray-ed, MRI-ed and- thankfully drugged through it all so hopefully I won’t remember the worst of it. Not sure when I will actually get sprung, but hopefully in the next day or two.
The most exciting thing that happened to me this past week came to my room today. Not Martha Stewart worthy in the presentation department, but a really GOOD THING just the same was - FOOD!!
Well, “sorta food” – clear liquid food. Yummy, warm veggie broth – it really was! Hot Tea- ahhhhh with a lemon, cranberry juice, and a cherry ice.
I only could eat a little bit of each, but it felt like a Thanksgiving meal to me as I have not been able to have any food or water since last Wednesday morning. This simple sustenance was delicious.
I am looking forward to the doctors finding the reason why this has all happened to me, getting back to my comfy home, and back to living my life and connecting once again with all of you – my wonderful, thoughtful readers. x o
My best-
Diane

I was just thinking about you today:) Hoping that all is getting better , and that your recovery is speedy. Hugs to you Diane:)
Diane- I hope you are soon well! How awful when we don’t know what is going on with our own bodies…we feel helpless and out of control…not a good spot to be in-is it? I am sending up a prayer for your quick recovery and that the Drs. can find out the cause of your illness. As a side note-I hope your hospital food is better than the one I work at…NOT good! Smiles to you- Diana
I’m glad you are making progress. You MUST have been hungry if you thought hospital fare was delicious. I guess if you go a week without food, it will taste pretty good.
We look forward to having you home and back online full time too. Make sure you take it easy until you regain all your strength. La
Silver lining… One smaller size jeans. Heck of way to loose weight.
I’m so sorry you have been down and out. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. Hope you are out of the hospital soon and taking your rightful place back here in blog land!!!!
Wow, nothing since last Wednesday? You poor thing. Praying for healing and comfort for you, hurry home!
I so sorry! Didn’t know you were in the hospital as I have been absent from blogland for some time (herniated disc). Here’s hoping the doctors find out what is wrong with you soon and you can get back home and get well!
BIG HUG & Well Wishes!
Marilyn
Diane, I am continually sending up prayers for your speedy recovery and Iam sending you a ton of well wishes!!
Oh gosh, Diane, I remember eating that menu when I had been in for my appendix a couple of years ago. I never thought that would be enough, but it turned out I couldn’t finish everything. I did keep the ice on the side though. : ) I think I lost 5 pounds after 4 days in the hospital on a “clear liquid diet”. I’m sure you are itching to get out of there and go home, and hopefully they will be done with you soon and have some answers, too.
Hi Diane…..I have been computer challenged for over a week got back up and running this morning….I was drawn to your blog and WOW…couldn’t believe you were in the hospital. I was so sorry to read about it and then stopped a little while ago to visit with Ed for an update. He misses you ….hurry home! When you get the all clear for tea and a treat let me know… we can indulge in something pancreas approved and chat. Take good care and heal soon….love ya…:) Neve
I’m sorry to hear you’re not well. Don’t worry about us. We’ll hang out and do something else until you get back and give us some more good ideas.
Wow, I am glad your starting to feel better, I hear that pancreas problems are real painful. We’re not going anywhere, take your time and we’ll be here when your ready!

I haven’t visited your blog for several days so I was very surprised to learn that you are vacationing in the hospital. I am sending my best wishes for a speedy recovery, we all miss you but want you well.
So sorry to hear that you’re under the weather! I have been on a blog hiatus for a while & haven’t kept up with what’s going on. I hope you have a quick recovery & get to eat some real food soon! :)
