Is your home in need of a style update, then I have some exciting news for you. Recently I was invited by the folks over at Apartment Guide to be part of their 2nd annual Apartment Guide “Your Picks. Your Place.” Sweepstakes.
Last year one lucky person won a grand prize of $10,000. It could be you this year – $10,00o to decorate your home with – wouldn’t that be one fabulous prize? I sure would love it. Oh! the things that I could do with $10,000 as my budget! I have been working behind the scenes on my room picks for the past two weeks and am excited to announce to you that Apartment Guide’s Your Picks Your Place Sweepstakes starts TODAY!
For my part in all of this -I was asked along with 3 other bloggers to go shopping online to select furniture and home décor items to design a living room, dining room, home office, and bedroom based on four unique design themes and a set budget. All of our room picks will be featured over at YourPicks YourPlace.com for you to browse and vote on your favorite.
Every two weeks, a new room and our (4 bloggers) picks will be unveiled on YourPicksYourPlace.com and put up for consumer voting. This year you can not only win the $10,000 grand prize, but one of eight $250 weekly prizes to go towards your own selections for your home. Plus stay tuned as I will be giving away some gift card giveaways right here on In My Own Style for my readers during the sweepstakes.
My first design assignment was a “ living room” and you can see the items I selected for an industrial loft for the Apartment Guide’s design board.

Well I must say that there can nothing be better if your hobby pays you back. I usually shuffle my home to make its interior look astounding. I often go shopping to make my home look better. I often get compliment from people that each time we visit your house it looks all together different.

I voted for you. I like that chair too, but would not go in mine, less I changed everything. I am concentrating on my kitchen at the moment or trying to… it is on hold till my grand baby pups go to their forever homes. Too much dust and time to finish tearing down the clutter from the dropped ceiling.
I seemed to have missed some posts of yours. I keep finding them… you sure stay busy. There are so many of your creations I am wanting to do. The 3 -D mirror wall, the Mod Podge Dresser, several of the Fake Transoms, The Budget Bathroom Makeover, Kitchen Banquette, Book Page Covered Hutch, too many to list.
