Thanks Gwen – You are so sweet. I truly enjoy coming up with ideas and writing about them. It makes me happy that I am helping and inspiring others that are interested in the same things I am.

Hi Diane – am anxiously awaiting to see the finished bathroom. I just think that you need a little piece of mdf underneath the vent, it looks like it should to me anyway,it would finish it off perfectly. You do good work.

Hi Betty-
I did cut a piece for under the vent, but it was so small I didn’t add it. I want to see what it looks like once I paint the walls white. By the toilet tank was the other problem. The board was too thick to fit behind the tank. I was not about to move the toilet – way too hard. So I just cut the board short and hopefully when all is painted white it will look fine.

Hi Diane. I love the bathroom. And I think your floor looks fine the way it is! I love the black and white and tan! But if you would like your floor to look like stone, I have a great and cheap solution for you, and you won’t have to remove baseboards or the toilet to lay it. I wish I had a picture to share with you, but all my pictures are in storage at the moment. I got the idea from a decorating book, and I have done a couple of floors using the technique. It looks great. I even had a contractor who wanted to hire me to do it in a remodel he was working on, but with the size of the space…..wow, it would have taken forever! I’m just not that industrious!
Anyway, if you’re curious, please let me know. I’d be happy to share.
I love all your projects and can’t wait to try some of them. Thank you for sharing.

Diane,

I tripped over your blog searching for chandelier updating ideas for Thanksgiving. Love, love, love what you did to your not-so-brass chandelier. Since then I find myself going to your website to explore your other projects. Your creativity and positive personality really come through … thank you for sharing.

I just love your website and your ideas are amazing, I will definitely be trying a few. I just ordered your book through Amazon and I can’t wait to read it. I’m sure I will be inspired to make a few things with all of the new tools I just received for Christmas. Thank you for all of your ideas and sharing.
