Remember I told you last week that Ed had a conference in the DC area and I was going to tag along to do some sightseeing? I was going to treat the trip as a mini-spring break. Well, I went… but the weather didn’t cooperate with my plans until yesterday.
Right as we were leaving, the sun came out and the temp reached 81 degrees!
Not to miss out on this perfectly lovely afternoon, we took every advantage we could to enjoy it. Even being stuck on 495 North in Virginia in rush hour traffic, we decided to make the best of it. We put the top down on the car, turned up the tunes, and stayed positive to enjoy the summer-like afternoon.
Finding delight in our situation, reminded me of the book I had just finished reading by a fellow blogger while I was hanging out at the hotel we stayed at.
Melissa Michael’s of The Inspired Room is the author of Love The Home You Have. An inspiring book where she shares simple ways to love your home, even if it has shortcomings.
Reading the book will take you on an inspiring journey with Melissa as your guide. She will help you find and embrace your style (my passion) and find delight in the home you are living in right now. Even if all you see are flaws, Melissa will have you seeing beauty and then leaping from dreamer to doer with confidence in no time. The 31-Day Challenge at the end of the book will help you put her ideas into action.
As a companion to the book, Melissa has also created a website, LoveTheHomeYouHave.com, where you will find even more inspiration. If you want to love your home and make it the best it can be no matter what your situation, you will not be disappointed in the book and website.
One of the things you can do from the website is download many different-sized free printables like this one to frame and hang in your home. Each will remind you to love the home you live in…right now.
If you would like a copy of the book, it can be ordered on Amazon.
I have one copy to give away today!!!
