Today I have not one, but two posts for you.
The first is a post I wrote for the Decorating with Pictures series on Kristen Duke’s blog, Capturing Joy.
She has put together an incredible month long series featuring photo displaying ideas from more than 50 bloggers, pretty amazing, right? And that is not all… there are giveaways everyday – two posts a day for the series means TWO GIVEAWAYS a day!
So hop on over to Capturing Joy to read my post and all the others as well as a chance to win….
Stay tuned…I will be posting my second post of the day this afternoon. It has a lot of red and pink in it. XO

Keep doing what you’re doing. All of have lost loved ones and many losses coincide with holidays. There’s no way to avoid one holiday because it might remind someone of a loss.

Kathie said exactly what I was thinking; you are VERY sensitive

please don’t take one this comment to heart, diane. she’s obviously hurting. should we ban valentine’s day? no, because there is loss in every life and you can’t tiptoe around it. i just lost my mom a couple months ago. she was my funny valentine. valentine’s day is a chance to show those in your life the love in your heart. every day should be valentine’s day!!! keep doing what you’re doing in that style that’s all your own!!…..p.s. i’ve never commented on any blog before!!!

Hi Kathie –
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment on the previous Valentine’s Day comment. What you wrote expressed exactly what I was feeling after I read the comment – your response was right on. Like you, I lost a parent not too long ago. My dad was my first Valentine and always will be. He is gone, but never from my heart. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. You should comment more often – you are good at it ! XO

I love your ideas but Valentines Day is torture for me. My husband died three years ago ,Febuary 16th and my birthday is February 17th. Be a little more sensitive to those of us who are without the loved of our lives.
