Fall is my FAVORITE time of the year – I enjoy every season, but it is all about Fall in my house!

Living is good, newness is in the air –  fresh starts, crisp air, pumpkins, colorful leaves, and that strong nesting feeling takes hold.  It makes you want to get all cozy and get the house in order so you are ready for the cold days ahead.

Since I enjoy feathering my nest in the Fall, I plan ahead and schedule time to purge and clean.  I know I am not alone doing this since Spring and Fall cleaning rituals are done by many of us.

As a blogger for the True Value Blog Squad, I got to give my garage the most thorough cleaning it has ever had. It needed it desperately. I not only de-cluttered, but I actually took the garden hose into the garage so I could scrub the floor.   I have swept and vacuumed, but never hosed it down with degreaser and a scrub brush.

I also labeled and organized every last bucket, ball, snow shovel, and garden tool.

Fall Clean up for the garage

I was one of the bloggers selected by True Value to work on the DIY Squad. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program as well as my writing about my experience. I have also been compensated for the materials needed for my DIY project. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

  1. OK, OK, I’ll stop “pinning” and go clean the garage. Time to remove the mouse nest, before they move back.
    thanks for the hints!

  2. I don’t have a garage, but each time I mow the yard I need to do just about as much to my carport and car (if I am too lazy to move the car several times).

Steve sure could use you for help at his huge one though. His garage is larger than my entire home, carport, breezeway (including the attached carport and laundry room) and breezeway.

Now if you want to talk about a mess that needs organization…… let’s talk guest room aka storage room and all junk with no where to go.
