Have you seen the TV commercials that show a doorbell being rung followed by a homeowner opening the door to find big green boxes filled with Swiffer products on their front step? If you have, then the big green boxes above may look familiar.
The commercial then shows the homeowner trying out the Swiffer sweepers, mops, and dusters in their home to see how easy they are to use to clean up the messes around the house.
Before we moved, I wanted to come up with an idea to give the couple that bought our house as a housewarming gift.
After doing some research, I found that for centuries, a broom is a traditional gift to give to new homeowners. I like tradition, but thought why not bring the idea into the 21st century with a new and improved way to clean a floor and more.
I was going to try to present the gift just like they do in the commercials, but this didn’t happen since we left for South Carolina a day before settlement.
Instead we left the boxes in the empty and clean family room for them to discover when they moved into the house after settlement.
With a note wishing them many happy years in their new home.
They have a baby, a toddler and two dogs. With all the hardwood floors in the house…
…I know they will become fans of the Swiffer Sweeper and the WetJet Mop when dirty little paws get tracked through the house.
No one likes to clean, but these products sure make the chore of cleaning so much easier and will leave them time to do the things they enjoy.

Nice gift to leave behind.
I have to tell you, I had the Wet Jet and just didn’t like it. Left a residue and a line where you stopped like the old sponge mops. I am much happier with my 360 spin mop from HSN or QVC – picks up everything even stuff may have missed when sweeping, even dog hair. I don’t use detergent with it either. All detergents leave a residue with the exception of the Microsoap that comes with the 360 but you really don;t need detergent. Plain warm water works best.
Teresa says
I would first clean the top of my armoire in my bedroom.
Michelle Holland says
I would use the duster on an extension and walk around the house grabbing all the little webbies that appear out of nowhere! Great housewarming gift! Blessings on your new home!

Diane, thank you for this opportunity to win some Swiffer products! I wish to surprise my brother who lives by himself on another Hawaiian island (I live in Honolulu). Visited him over the Thanksgiving weekend and discovered he keeps a neat, organized home, but the white oak laminate floors, baseboards, ceilings and fans need to be thoroughly cleaned. My visit was too short to work on the modest home, but a surprise delivery would cheer him up and hopefully motivate him to perform this cleaning that somehow many guys don’t think is necessary!

Lois says
What a coincidence…I have used every Swifter product available for years and love every one of them, but today it was too cold to do anything outside so I decided to clean my nine ceiling fans. I only clean them about once a month (or longer) and I have to use the swifter 360 degree duster with the extension handle to be able to reach most of them. I still have to use a step-ladder for some but the extension handle/duster is great for everything out or reach otherwise…art work, shelves, etc. Great products!
Sheila says
I know exactly what/where I would clean! Under my beds! We have hardwood everywhere…and that dust gets in every nook and cranny. With downsizing I have things stored under beds, including daughter’s wedding gown in a sealed box! Ha! I would also dust the 9 foot walls of my house! I am short and finding a way to reach things would be so much easier with swifter products…handles.

What a kind gift, Diane! The whole upstairs of my 100+ year old farm house is hardwood, so that is where I’d start. Thank you for the opportunity!
Suzanne says
I love the swifter surprise commercials! The older couple just melt my heart and the veteran who lost his arm and his family make my heart soar! My flooring is all stamped concrete and mosaic tile in my entry/hallway (gorgeous DIY). We have 3 cats and a dog and that’s a lot of surfaces to keep up with! The first surface I would clean would be my kitchen and then the hallway! I need all the help I can get and would love my own swiffer surprise box! Thank you!
Carol says
I would “swiff-up” fur balls on my wood floors from my three indoor/outdoor cats. I love my cats but hate the fur! Thanks!!!
Myra Goddard says
Somehow my 2 Pekingese rescues seem to track in more dirt than my 6 kids ever did when they were growing up, and the kids didn’t shed hair endlessly either. I could really use some Swiffer help on my tile floors, about 1800 square feet of them. They have to be cleaned every day, and this old back is objecting.
Vicki Ramsey says
Definitely the hardwoods! Dog hair is everywhere!
Teri says
I’d clean my tile entryway first, it gets the most traffic and usually needs a good cleaning once a week. Thanks for the giveaway!
Shirley says
I am kinda like the old couple in the commercial. I have back and hip problems which makes it very difficult to clean anything. The Swiffers would be a huge help for me to clean anything. I would start with my kitchen and move on to ceiling fans and tall as well as low furniture. Thanks for the opportunity!
ColetteHorner says
Hi, I have light sand-colored tile floors throughout my house and a lovable, but long-haired black cat named Maggie. I brush Maggie’s coat daily but despite my best efforts, I’m sweeping up hair daily! Ugh! I’ve been constantly on the hunt for a better cleaning tool when I read your post on the give-away. Since I’ve been reading your blog for awhile now, and also sharing many of your DIY tips with my only daughter in Massachusetts who is completing a 1year post-graduate veterinary internship, and also has a cat and lives in a house with wall-to-wall wood floors; this give-away couldn’t have come at a better time!
Warmly,
Colette Horner
Margaret Haggard says
What a thoughtful gift!
If I win the give away, I will begin Spring Cleaning early! I’ll dust everything and clean my house-full of tile floors. I work 50-55 hours a week and Swiffer products would certainly help me breeze through caring for my home.
Tina says
Love the handmade welcome note you left the new owners. Knowing there are new feet and paws enjoying your home hopefully eased the transition. I love swifter wet ones. I need to clean my basement stairs. I can’t even think when the last time it was done as they lead to an unfinished basement, but the dirt is tracking upstairs. Thanks!
Lisa says
What a thoughtful and practical gift. I would begin in my kitchen. With 2 dogs and the lovely Midwest weather I am forever mopping and “spot cleaning” the floor.
Becky says
It was so sweet of you to left such a thoughtful gift for the new couple. I would clean everything, top to bottom. Mainly I would dust the entire house. You would think with all the snow and rain we have had the past few weeks, it wouldn’t be so dusty, but it is.
Carol says
I love the commercials, especially the older couple going around cleaning their house. It seems like a great cleaning tool, I just never got around to getting one. So, if I had one I’d start with all our ceiling fans then do our tile floors.
Doreen says
Definitely the white kitchen floor and ceiling fans. We’re in our upper 80’s, so anything to make the job easier would be most welcome. I’m enjoying your move to the lake house. We moved into town from our lake house in the woods five years ago after 20 great years out there.
Patti says
I’d clean my floors! The whole first floor is wooden floors and we have a shaggy, often wet and muddy, dog!
Sue says
What a sweet gift for the new owners of your house!
I’d love to win the Swiffer giveaway – I’d use it for dust-mopping the tile floors in my entry hall, kitchen, and bathrooms.
Sue says
Diane,
You are so amazing! And so very thoughtful! I am sure the new owners of your old home are blessed in so many more ways than we will know!
I would start with the hall upstairs. I would clean the bedroom floors next, then come down the stairs to the living room, kitchen and dining area. The Wet Jet mop would be a blessing in the kitchen since it seems to need mopping everyday!
Thank you for the opportunity to win this giveaway!
Diane says
Dust the furniture in my living room! My dog plays and runs and fur and dust fly all over the furniture. Add in a little left over holiday glitter and you can see how the swiffer dusters would come in handy!!
Kristin Kriegler says
Definitely my tile floors – kitchen, bathrooms, laundry. I HATE using a regular mop on them!!
Karen Deanley says
I’m due for a new swiffer! I have been using my current one for years and love the ease of cleaning my hardwood floors. I would use it on the first floor of my two story house like I do now. Breakfast nook, kitchen, dining room, foyer all get the swiffer treatment as one leads into the other . My old one is getting worn out and tired and is looking to retire!
Michele H. says
We have hardwood floors throughout the house. With three grandsons and three housecats the living room floor constantly needs cleaning!
arlene says
I would clean my whole house! Got new floors and having a hard time keeping them clean! Thanks
Sylvia says
It seems I dust one day and it’s back the next. Electronics especially collect lots of dust. I guess I’d start at the top…ceiling fans and work my way down.
Dana says
My kitchen floor! With three boys, it never seems to get clean enough.
Linda O'Neill says
I don’t have a lot of uncarpeted space but what I do have is a total disaster. I use the vacuum to pick up the obvious but it doesn’t clean. I’ve tried a dry vac and it didn’t work well. So when the floor becomes unbearable it’s down on hands and knees to scrub the floors. Seem so 19th century. I’d like to be brought to the 21st century and would love to try the swifter products. It would get me motivated mentally and physically my back and knees would be very thankful.
Sue says
Diane, you are treasure of information, I love all of your post. Of course , I need this for all of my hardwood floors. Old houses just love us so much they just keep giving us dust and dust bunnies. Thanks!
Helen Henkler says
I’d love to Swiffer my ceiling fans. Thanks Diane!
Michelle P says
Yes, I can definitely use this! First thing I’ll clean is the kitchen floor. It’s the hardest room to keep clean in my house.
Stefanie Gladden says
I would love to use a swiffer on our new hardwood floors!
Vivian Whipple says
My 90 year old mother-in-law lives with us six months out of the year. She pays for a cleaning lady, three hours, everyother week, year round. The cleaning lady is more a companion. I appreciate all of her efforts, however her time is better spent with the visiting.
My mil seems to get more anxious with lots of activity and sounds. I would love to be able to do more “silent” cleaning before she wakes and during her naps.
My eye sight is much better than mil, I admit to being more finicky, we have a dog and I cannot wait 2 weeks to dust, sweep, and mop between cleanings.
Cindy B says
My entire home is hardwood flooring with the exception of the kitchen. I would love to try Swiffer products throughout the home but especially on the hardwood floors. I have one dog, three cats and a disabled husband, so anything that would help the endless cleaning would be much appreciated!!
Beth G. says
I would dust and then clean our kitchen floor. It’s a light color and shows dirt quickly! Thanks for the chance to win!
Debby says
I sure could use a swifter especially on these hardwood floors..would love to try it! Thanks for a great give away!
Michelle says
Our house gets really dusty with a wood stove, so I would dust our computer desk first and then clean some of our hardwood floors.
Kris says
What a thoughtful and practical gift! May you enjoy your waterfront home knowing your old home will be truly lived in. Having three rescue dogs, our floors require regular attention as does dusting. I would love to try some of the Swiffer products I haven’t bought yet.
Lori Coke says
Where do I begin?? I think I would start with the ceiling fans and then move to the hardwoods. Hope you’re enjoying Lake Murray. I’ve spent many a summer swimming and water skiing there. It is beautiful! You’re very generous and I’m sure the young family starting off in their new home loved your gift. I know I would. BTW, I love your blog.
Diane Richards says
Ugh! Floors and ceiling fans. With 2 little dogs I have little footprints all over my floors every day! Would love to try out these products.
Shelley Davis says
That is so kind and thoughtful to leave the new owners a gift. If I won the prize, I guess I would have to say what surface wouldn’t I clean? LOL. We have 3 special needs kiddo’s who are 10 and four little doggies. With Christmas break my house has found itself in need of a thorough cleaning. This might just get me going. :)
Blessings,
Shelley
Dee says
I would clean all my hardwood floors. We have a sweet King Charles spaniel who tends to leave evidence that he resides all over the house!
Arbie Goodfellow says
I would clean the floor in front of my wood stove first!
With 3 dogs and burning a lot of wood to keep warm during Michigan’s cold spells it gets dirty!
Thanks!
Sally says
Hardwood kitchen floor for sure.
Michelle says
Such a kind and thoughtful (and very prudent!) gift for the new owners of your relished home. It must be very gratifying knowing that those walls will now echo with a new generation in creating their memories!
As for cleaning, we really try to keep up with dust and pollen around here due to allergies. All of our hard surfaces (floors and furniture) would no doubt benefit greatly from regular ‘swiffing’ :)
Congratulations on your new chapter…may it be everything you’ve dreamed!
Debbie says
What a great idea, so thoughtful!
JoeyfromSC says
That’s so cool & thoughtful! I’d clean ceiling fans for sure!
Thanks for the chance!

Claudia says
What a great idea for new homeowners! So sweet. I would clean alltge ceiling fans in my home right away! Its gotta be easier than climbing a ladder!
Sue Young says
After taking down and storing all holiday decorations, it’s time to rearrange, clean, and freshen up my entire home. Floors, windows, porches….Everything needs some sparkle!! Thank you for your blog and housewarming gift. As a Realtor I can tell you this is a most welcomed and useful gift.
Alexis says
What a nice gift – they’ll definitely put it to use with kids and dogs. I’d first use it to clean my ceiling fans. It would be much easier with a Swiffer. Enjoy your new house.
LinhC says
What a great idea for the new owners!
I would clean the baseboards!
Peggie Armstrong says
What a wonderful idea for a gift! I have 2 dogs and a a swiffer / vacuum that I use daily. I couldn’t get along without it. If Inwere to win, I would gift the swiffer to my Grandaughter and hubby, as they are moving into their first home as I type! The floors are all wood, and with 2 dogs and a baby on the way, they would love theirs as much as I do mine.
Kim says
The floors would be first. Love Swiffer products!
Laurie says
OH yes! With two dogs and living in the country, my floors are always in need of cleaning!
Beverly Hayes says
I would totally clean my window shutters and my kitchen wood floors. They really need a good scrubbing! Thank you for the giveaway!
Beverly Hayes says
Sorry for the double entry!
Beverly Hayes says
I will definitely tackle all of my window shutters and then my wood floors in my kitchen! That is such a cute idea to leave something for the new homeowners! Thanks for sharing.
Arli says
My hardwoods and tile floor need this…and someone to push them around! What a thoughtful housewarming gift,
Leslie Blythe Miller says
I would clean all the hard wood floors!
linda kelley says
What a thoughtful welcoming gift! I have two dogs who have a lot of fur. You would not believe how much they shed. The swifter would be wonderful since I have tile floors. I live in the desert and we get a lot of dust in the house. So between the dust and the dog hair, I would really put the swifter to work! Also, my fans! To not have to get a step stool out every time I want to clean them would be such a lifesaver!
Deb wostmann says
I would clean my mud room first. Dirty dog prints are not fun.
Karen says
Welcome to SC and especially the Lake Murray area. I grew up nearby and remember my parents talking about making a car ride each Sunday afternoon to check out the progress on the dam as it was being built to form the lake. Family roots are deep in the Dutch Fork region.
My first joy will be cleaning the interior shutters and blinds…perfect task for Swiffer!
Linda says
I put in a new dark wood floor and I have pet hair boy could I use this
Margaret says
It is such a needed gift. We recently just moved to our lake house which is very small , but on pretty days we leave the door open to the screened porch and with the wind there is so much dust. The laminate counters are dark and show much dust. I’m always wiping that. Also, I am always squatting to the floor to wipe something up. Shifters would be awesome.
LaFawne says
Living Room Floor!
Sher says
What a perfect welcome gift.
I have a beautiful home that is on the market soooooooo I am constantly cleaning.
I am doing my best to keep it show ready all the time . I have all hardwoods and tiles.
A green swifter box would certainly come in handy in my attempt to keep up the clean.
Thanks !
Ann says
I use Swiffer and I love it — but as a gift to somone??? One time my friend’s husband bought her a mop and bucket for her birthday, and she didn’t speak to him for a week! (giggle)
Truly, your gift was a lovely idea.

With trying to reduce heating costs, the fireplace is running non stop. The hardwood floors on the living room is in desperate need of some TLC. Love the sentiment you left the new owners.

What a thoughtful idea for the new home owners. With a dog and hardwood floors, I would Swiffer the floors!
Karen says
We just moved to New Orleans and find we always have dust and dirt everywhere. We would even use Swiffer in our car – great for picking up the dust inside.
Patty says
I would clean the hardwood floors in our living room and dining room to pick up the hair from two dogs and two cats.
Jan says
What a nice gift to leave the new homeowners. I would use my Swiffer on my kitchen floor. It’s a pretty honey blond color and it looks best when it’s spotless.
Kelly Espinoza says
I think the first surface I would clean is my kitchen floor. I have tried a vinegar solution and steam mop but it just doesn’t look good. I think I would like to try the swifter mop!! ?
Catherine Cooper says
I had never heard of this lovely practice before, but it is such a gracious thing to do that I will remember it for whenever I move. Thank you Diane for the idea! Another reason that I’m such a fan of yours.
The Swiffer products would be so useful in both my kitchen and laundry room because I wash those floors frequently, and then in the bedrooms. where I have to dust the hardwood floors often.
Anne Marie says
What a great idea – I am sure the new homeowners were thrilled. I need to give my floors a good cleaning – would love to do it with these swiffer products.

I would tackle all of the nooks and crannies in my sewing room. It needs a complete cleaning! Thanks for the chance to win this fantastic gift.

Our family has lived in our current home for almost 20 years! Over that time, we have installed Pergo flooring in our den and kitchen. I would LOVE to try the Swiffer Wet Jet on these floors:). I would like to thank you for all your detailed posts about your recent experiences simplifying and downsizing. I have found it all encouraging!
HS says
I would clean the floor and bookshelves first.
Rose C says
We have no carpet in the house so I would clean all the floors!

How sweet of you to leave gifts for the owners. I would first clean my kitchen floors then off to the bathrooms. Wishing you much happiness in the south. I lived in SC all my life until I turned 50 them moved out west. Big change, miss home but am enjoying new things.
Naomi says
Like Karen, I also live in the Southwest. Dust is a never ending problem here in Phoenix! I can use Swiffer products in every room in my house. The kitchen would be the first place I would start. I really like your idea to give Swiffer products to the new homeowners. If you don’t mind, I may use your idea to do the same when we move back to my home state of SC late this Spring. Wonderful idea, Diane!
Phyllis says
Thanks, Diane, for making this available. I have engineered wood floors for the first time and need a fresh approach to floor cleaning
Melanie C. says
I’d probably clean all the fans in the house. Every room has one and they are the most neglected. Congrats on your new home! Can’t wait to watch the creative process in action.
Mary says
My husband and I are retired and we just downsized to a 1000 square foot home. Oh the treasures I had to give up! The new house has very dark hardwood floors all the way through it. I had no idea of the upkeep with the darker wood! They show everything! Definitely, swifter products would be such a help…..and that’s what I would clean with them. Everyday! ggggrrrrr!
Mary
Sue says
Would clean the kitchen/dining area first- watching having my grandsons for a visit = always something to clean. But what a wonderful “problem” to have. Thank you
Sally says
My kitchen wood floors seem to need the most help…..always splatters to clean up. Thanks!
chris aka monkey says
when i read of the gift for the hew home owners i got a lump in my throat, my favorite saying is “there is good in the world” and your gift proved it, i haven’t tried swiffer for the floor and our kitchen sure would give them a work out ha ha thanks xx
Karen says
Thank you for paying it forward! I live in the Southwest, where summer temps can typically range anywhere between 110 and 118. The suburb was once farm land and now here on my corner lot, across the street from a park, it is really, really dusty. (Forget about monsoon season!)
My first go at… the travertine tile throughout. Nine – 10 months of the year, my front door and patio doors are open. And, although wrought iron and screened, the dust ALWAYS finds a way to visit.
I would say GOODBYE to the uninvited guest! But I will keep my Maltese. She is a serious guard dog, despite the fact she brings in treats from the yard.
Sherry B. says
Will clean up the hair in the bathroom, crumbs in the kitchen and dust on the tabletops, a great start to spring cleaning!
Laurie says
My husband has been wanting to try some Swiffer products! Lucky me! He does the house cleaning as my job takes me out of town frequently. HE would do all the hardwood floors!
Donna says
Such a considerate gift. I always start at the top and work my way down to the floors.
Helen Connolly says
We have mostly tiled floors downstairs and mostly hardwood floors upstairs – so all of those. But it’d be the tiled hall and kitchen floor first, without question. I haven’t used this product before so I’m interested in finding out how much easier it makes keeping these floors clean.
Nancy says
When I move into my brand new house I will clean my fabulous new kitchen!! Love Swiffer!!!
Allisan St Clair-Pedroza says
What a fabulous idea as a house warming gift. I have a white cat who seems to shed his hair all year round. So I have to clean up after him every day, to keep on top of things. I’m not able to enter your competition due to the fact I live in WALES, UK. Which is a Pity as it’s my Birthday on the 20th, and that would have been a lovely present, for making 62years. I hope you are enjoying your new home by the Lake, lucky you. So looking forward to your forthcoming ideas for your new home, so that I can be inspired again, as I begin to start my decorating in the spring.
All the Best.
Allisan from Caerphilly, UK XOXO
Carla Jordan says
Definitely my laminate flooring in my kitchen. Thanks for a great giveaway!

I would clean ALL my floors! I have a cat which equals lots of cat hair….eeks! Used thelse products at my daughter’s and would love them for myself. Thanks for this opportunity of your giveaway!
erika says
What a great idea to leave something like that for the new owners. When we move next time i will definitely be doing the same…thanks for the tip.
Holly Rigby says
Hi Diane,
Wow, arent you thoughtful…speaks volumes about your heart and soul. I have hardwood floors in my summer camp in NH…and “rubberized” laminate in the basement. My husband calls me the queen of the sweeping, sadly…and of course there’s the dog and the fact that our lake house is on a dirt road!!
I’d rather be kayaking, but gosh, those Swiffers make life so much easier!!
Oh, and since we are considering downsizing here in TX, what percentage (estimate of course,) STUFF do you think you got rid of before your move, and do you anticipate new furniture for your new house? Anything you regret throwing out?
Thanks, Holly
Kathy says
What a nice gift for the new homeowners! great idea. I have all hardwoods and have never tried Swiffer products.
Suzi Miller says
That is so clever! And very thoughtful! I have two golden’s and live in Colorado. When that snow melts and they come in onto the wood floors they always have to have their paws wiped. But the floors also have to be wiped! We won’t even mention the shedding :) Always enjoy reading your posts.
Debbie says
The hardwood floors in my kitchen.
Teresa in AL says
I should have stock in Swiffer as it seems the dust bunnies appear daily. We do have a dog! She is short haired but still a constant mess. We have tile and hardwood floors so if I won I’d use the Swiffers EVERYWHERE!!! Great giveaway!
Nancy H says
What a great idea for a house warming gift! You are very creative and thoughtful! I would do my basement floor. Have stained concrete with a shiny finish and Iwith my dog there is always fluffs of hair to clean up. I also like to keep a swiffer cloth in my car to dust the dashboard and steering column. Since the dog likes to ride in the car there seems to be dog hair there too!
Donnamae says
What a great gift for the new homeowners! I use swiffer products all over my house, but especially for my kitchen floor…there’s always a need! Thanks for the opportunity! ;)
Bonnie says
Fab idea for the gift!
My hardwood entry foyer is the go-to place for Swiffer.

That was a very thoughtful way to welcome the new family to their new home…
A broom, huh? I do love practicality!
Denise Rogers says
Oh, and the surface I would clean first? Where to begin!! The beams in the living room, then the mantle, while my daughters dust the furniture…and then ALL the floors in our home sweet home. Thank you for the opportunity and all of your helpful blogs!!
Larry Floyd says
I just had my parent’s old house remodeled after they both passed away. To my great suprise and delight I discovered that all of the old floors that had been carpeted for many years were natural red oak.! I had these old 60 year old floors refinished and they are really beautiful. I am a bachler, 71 years old, and live alone. I have never had to clean hardwood floors before now. I would really love to have the benefit of a Swifter to help me with the dusting and moping. Natural hardwood are a real treat and they need to be taken real good care of.
Rebecca says
We have two dogs and hardwood floors throughout most of the house (everywhere except carpet in the bedrooms upstairs). Stiffer products are so helpful! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
Brandy O. says
What a thoughtful and useful gift to give the new owners! A Swiffter set would certainly be put to good use in my house. We have two young kids, two dogs, one cat, and zero carpet. Keeping the floor free of dirt and pet hair is a constant battle. I would first tackle the dried salt puddles from snow boots that appear daily in the entryway! :)
Carla says
Hi Diane! What a wonderful idea! I’ll be cleaning my hardwood floors first! Thanks for the opportunity!
sydney85 says
I was going to start to say that I would use the swiffer for my wood floors first but then I realized I always dust first and then sweep. Not sure what the difference is now that I am in a condo but I seem to need to dust and sweep daily.
Monica says
What a great idea for a housewarming gift for the new owners!!!!! I will have to remember that!!! Basically, every room in my house, other than the bedrooms, have hardwood floors, so I would find them handy. But, since I don’t have any pets or kids running through my house, someone who does would be more deserving.
Looking forward to seeing more updates on your lake house!!!!
Lisa Cooper says
My new home has loads of hardwood floors. Our two large dogs are always leaving footprints and hair everywhere. I need Swiffer to help me!
Kim H. says
Swiffer would make my life easier for cleaning up pet hair and dander between big cleanings!!
[email protected] says
Oh i love this idea as a gift! I use swiffers just about everyday on my floors, and furniture.
Connie Nikiforoff Designs says
I’d clean my hardwood floors and my laminate. I’ve got 12 paws that make little doggy designs on my floors. (Yup, that’s 3 dogs.) The dry Swiffers are a super duper favorite of mine since one of the dogs is a pretty big shedder :-)
LOVE that you gave the new homeowners that gift. :-) I too gave a Swiffer as a gift to the people who purchased our former home. (Dog, child…hubby a fireman. It was a very welcomed gift.)
Colleen Quigley says
Moving to North Port Fl. from NY on the 29th and will have a new experience with laminate floors. Sounds like Swiffer might be just what I will need! Goodbye Vacuum!
Rhona says
A house with no carpet means I would definitely be cleaning the floors first.
Patty in AR says
How thoughtful of you! I love that idea! And the handmade card was the icing on the cake! If I win the Swiffer prize, it will definitely be put to good use. I have two dogs and an older home that constantly needs dusting!! Thanks for sponsoring such an awesome contest!!
Vikki Barnette says
Diane, You are something else! During one of the most hectic and busy times of your life you thought of someone else and brightened their day with a thoughtful house warming gift replete with a lovely hand drawn card.
If I win the Swiffer prize I’ll be using the duster(s) to fight the dust bunnies on my new laminate floors.
