No More Waiting…

A few weeks ago… wait scratch that… a month and a half ago, I posted that we had started the makeover of the room we call the game room. You may remember I told you that it didn’t have a door and we were going to add a new one. Along with that, we were also going to remove the center ceiling light, paint the ceiling fans, walls and add new flooring.

How to install new vinyl plank flooring

Well… we got the door stained and hung, but we are still waiting for the doorknob that will match the rest of the ones I replaced in the house to be delivered. It is on backorder.

The door we used is the pocket door in this photo that we no longer needed when we opened up the wall between the kitchen and living room.  All it needed was stain, hinges and a doorknob.

Back to the game room… We got the walls and trim painted….

…along with the ceiling fans and removed the center ceiling fixture.

We got all of that done weeks ago, all except for the flooring.  As with the doorknob, we have been on hold waiting for the flooring to be delivered.

I am happy to be able to say…. “today it finally arrived!!!”  It was being held up when the initial trucking company went out of business and our flooring sat in wait for a new company to go get it and then deliver it to us.

As soon as it was delivered, I opened up one box to make sure it was what I ordered. It is!  :-)

Now we can get the room done over the next few days, just in time to host a houseful of guests for pre-wedding festivities.

Congrats to your daughter and soon to be son-in-law. What an exciting time. I can’t wait to see what you do with the front of the house. No matter what I still love your front doors!

How frustrating! Congrats on the floor arrival- and the removal of more of those prickly holly bushes.
