I planned to post the “After” of the chandelier that I am making over, but the weather here in southeastern PA is not cooperating. The transformation process I am applying to the chandy requires lots of drying time, but it is rainy here – lots of rain, dark clouds – no sunshine – damp. Not good weather to dry DIY projects so I can continue to the next step.
The rain might be delaying the transformation, but it is turning out just as I envisioned.
Here is a sneak peak-
I found some pretty cut glass bobeches in a drawer in my dining room that have been unused for a long time. I am glad I saved them as they add a hint of bling to the chandelier. I only have 3, but there are 6 candles on the chandelier so I will have to find more or come up with a way to make only 3 work.
So while the the chandelier is drying I am going to enjoy this gift of a rainy day – it gives me an excuse to putter around the house – watch an old movie and have a cup of tea 0r two. I need to organize and de-clutter my basement and have been saving the chore for a rainy day – it has arrived – no more excuses!

So I am off to enjoy my rainy day activities, as I know the sun will shine again and my chandelier makeover will get completed soon.
Do you enjoy a rainy day?
