Plain House Exterior 

Update the exterior of your home with a wood slat wall to create a point of interest where there is none.

Supplies Needed:

1″ x 3-1/2″ wide pine or cedar boards Wood Stain Screws Saw, sander, screwdriver

This will remove the factory milled finish so stain will penetrate better.

Make a Jig

To create aligned screw holes

Drill two holes on each end of each board.

Drill Holes

Begin by attaching 2 - 3 vertical boards to the wall. For a brick wall use masonary screws.

Installation

Use a 1" thick board as a spacer between  horizontal boards as you add them so they are the same distance apart.

Address Plate

Mount address plate on a separate piece of wood.
