Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.
Even though I love to travel, coming home late last Sunday from a 10-day trip made me almost almost giddy with delight this past week.
Getting back into my routines and puttering around the house with new insights and inspiration from traveling always feels good.
It took some time to get unpacked, grocery shop and go through the mail, plus deal with a bit of time change jet lag and a doctor’s appt for my right hip that has been giving me trouble. Now I am back into my summer routine.
Coming up on the blog: I have a thrift store find table that has been in my garage for about 2 years. I didn’t know what to do with it until seeing a side table in a decor store in LA. So stay tuned to see what I did with the table this week on the blog.

Food
I bought this for Ed for his birthday that he celebrated over the weekend. I know he is going to love how easy and fast it is to make ice cream, milk shakes and whip up the leftovers the next day so that they taste fresh. I will admit, I am excited to also use it to make fruit sorbets. Stay tuned for a post or two sharing what I make with it.

Thank you for another post of interesting articles. My movie form would not come through. I tried it three times. Glad you enjoyed your vacation.
Oh that cottage was dreamy ! A true cottage..
Mrs harris, must see.
Hi Karen – I hope to see the movie tomorrow night. My younger daughter saw it on Saturday and said is was really cute. After the movie, she went shopping and bought two dresses. :-)
Thank you, Diane, for these interesting and inspiring links, I especially appreciate the Movie of the Night, since I’ve been focused on ending my day with a good movie lately, and it’s time-consuming to research them and scroll through reviews. I call my movie habit my 8 pm dessert — my reward for finishing daily essentials. Thanks for the playlist link too. And OMG! — that cake!
Hi Barbara – I love that you called your movie habit your 8 pm dessert. :-). I try to close up my computer by 5 most days and then look forward to a movie or book. I have found the Movie of the Night so helpful as I use to spend way too much time scrolling through Netflix and Prime trying to find movies. I hope you find some great movies to watch. Enjoy with a piece of cake!
Thank you for the movie form. Very helpful!!
Thank you for the Movie Select page! It was just what I needed!
