Style Scouting: Vol. 145

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

Summer in South Carolina has arrived. The heat went up a few degrees this week into the high 80’s. Yesterday (Saturday) is always the day when we see more boaters, jet-skiers, paddle boarders, tubers and kayakers on the lake.

Hearing the sounds of them having fun and the sounds of the waves they create crashing to our shore always makes me happy. It makes me feel like I am on vacation even though I am cutting the grass or doing work around the house. :-)

We finished the porch railing on the front entrance to the house and it turned out great. I will be sharing what we did this week.

Posts You May Have Missed This Week:

I enjoyed reading about this South Carolina interior designer.

If you look closely, there are a lot of decorating takeaways in the photos of this designer home.

This Virginia cottage.

If you don’t like the look of any of your large kitchen appliances – this is a doable option to change it.

A DIY designer knock-off idea.

Small space organizing ideas.

Watching & Reading

This week I finished watching A Small Light on National Geographic. I loved it. Next on my list is A Beautiful Life on Netflix that is about a fisherman musician.

I read all my books on my Kindle. I just ordered this to read.

This looks like a fun idea to serve the next time I entertain outdoors. And this entertaining idea is so smart especially when not having a sit down meal.

What to make with a fresh carton of strawberries.

What a pretty latte for summer.

Does anyone have this grill basket? It looks interesting, but does it work?

Out & About

If I only had a place for this in my home. I love it!

Fashion & Beauty

I bought this summer dress a month ago and didn’t get to wear it until this past week when it was hot enough – I love it. When I wear summer dresses I always wear bike shorts underneath in a color that matches the dress. When wearing them, you don’t have to worry about exposing yourself when you bend down or it is windy outside. I bought a white one to wear with the dress.

Fun & Interesting

If you are a parent with more than one child – this is great advice.

Something to Think About

The romantic poet way of life.

This is how we should look at our life.
