Hello… Hello. I hope this post finds you ready to take on a new week. All last week I was immersed in DIY projects. Not just one, but 4! I was focused and on a mission to get them started and two almost done. The biggest is the makeover of my master bathroom.

If you read my post a week ago about what I was planning for the bathroom, that plan has all changed. The finished bath doesn’t resemble the mood board I made… at all!!!

As I was halfway through the updates I needed a few supplies and headed to Hobby Lobby. While there I saw two mirrors on sale. Ideas started flashing through my head and I knew right then and there my bathroom plans were going to change. I bought the mirrors, knowing if they didn’t look right, I would return them.

They looked perfect in the bathroom… well almost as I did add a color tweak to them. So stayed tuned later this week to see the finished bathroom.

Now onto the inspiring links I found this week.

PLEASE NOTE: After getting this request from many readers, I have changed how you navigate back to my blog when going to the links. This is especially requested when reading my Sunday posts on a mobile device, which 85% of you do.

Now when on a desktop or your phone, you can use the back button, usually a “<” on the upper left side of your screen on a laptop or desktop. On an iphone, it is on the bottom left. On Android, it is on the bottom right. Having this will allow you will go straight back to my blog and not to my email and have to open the email again.

Decorating

This modern classic decor and more in this Philadelphia design firm’s work. Check out their Instagram also to see more gorgeous home designs like the facade of the the classic stone house shown above. I like how the house is formal and in the photo one window is open to let the breeze in.

I do this all the time. Good decorating advice for you to consider doing.

This 1970’s remodeled kitchen.

If you like traditional decor and color I think you will like this home remodel.

DIY

Look at how pretty these furniture makeover are using transfers.

I want to make one of these. It is made using a plastic bottle.

You can make a set of these with cling wrap… clever!

Organizing

I want to create one of these in my kitchen.

I am still old school and need this.

Food

I have never heard of this Italian food, but it sure looks good.

Did you know there is a new chocolate? It is not milk, dark or white? It sounds interesting.

This easy to make bread recipe that you make in a Dutch oven sure looks delicious.

Watching & Reading

Just watched this on Netflix. It is quite interesting what new research is finding.

I have read all the books in this cozy mystery series. I am looking forward to book 7, but will have to wait until the fall when it comes out.

Fun & Interesting

Look how pretty train tickets are in Japan. I can understand why people would collect them.

This sweet idea for a gift to give just about anyone. Mothers, teachers, hostess.

A brain teaser for you.

  1. I look forward to your Sunday posts every week. I love the variety. I’m definitely checking out the Netflix documentary, and I tagged Ellery Adams’ books in my Libby app. I use the Keeper app for my passwords. You have to pay annually for the use, but it’s worth my peace of mind. The 1970’s kitchen remodel was beautiful. It reminds me of my recent remodel. We did two tone also with soft white upper cabinets and natural walnut lowers. I love it. The website changes are a learning curve, but that’s okay. It’s an exercise for our brains.

  2. Why waste time writing out your passwords when a password manager—there are many—will let you copy and paste? With a password manager, you can have enormously long passwords (as long as the site will allow) that would drive you nuts if you had to type.

  3. I don’t like how the links don’t open into a new window like they did before. The back button never went back to the email for me. Everything worked just fine. The brain teaser showed the misspelling in the answer, but it was not in the first list. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed reading your blog, so I’m not complaining, just throwing in a little constructive criticism!!
While trying to post this comment, I got an error saying I had to verify I was human, but there was no captcha or anything else to verify??
I was able to go under “contact you” to post this comment, and it fid post where there were already over 70 comments, so I’m posting again here.

Those train tickets are very pretty. Leave it to the Japanese to make ordinary objects interesting. I like the furniture makeovers with transfers, so I am eyeing my furniture pieces to see where I can have fun with that. Yes, I am old-school on passwords, too. I use index cards! That Bobbi Brown fragrance reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer invents a beach cologne. I don’t have a place for a tech drawer, but I have a tech basket in my office that works well. I am going to file away in my brain the recycled cup holder idea because that is so sweet! Thank you for fixing the return button. Enjoy your week.

GREAT stylings this week, Diane! I loved the idea of making that neat woven basket from an old plastic container. I think I want to try having a craft day with my girls / sis / nieces / grand and try our hands at it.

WOW- rose chocolate – who knew??? Hope it gets cheaper. I have often tinted white chocolate a light pink – would love to just use this one day!

Can’t wait to see what you’ve decided on your bathroom make-over! And tysm for the back button vs going all the way back on the web site to get out of what we read. That’s going to take getting used to now. LOL. I got it half right or half wrong – depending on how one looks at it haha.

Have a wonderful and blessed week. Thanks for the inspiration!!
