Style Scouting: Vol 2

Every September, I get the overwhelming desire to make everything in my house all tidy and fresh. I know it has to do with years of getting a new start when the school year began. For me, it’s a time of bigger changes than New Years Day in January brings.

Bloggers craft room tour

This year, I started by cleaning off my work table in my studioffice. While I was getting it tidy, I unearthed a pile of decorating, organizing, and lifestyle books that I gathered over the summer to give away to one of you.

Well better late than never, right? I love all these books, but I have read them and in my quest to keep my house clutter-free I don’t need them anymore and would like to pass them along to one of you to enjoy.

I am even including a paperback copy of my book, Instant Decorating. It is dated, but the projects themselves when done with the current trends in fabrics and color will help anyone who likes to decorate on a budget with little or no-sewing.

Also, before I head into weekend mode, I am sharing a few posts I found online this week that I found inspiring.  PLUS – don’t miss the last one…. It is a chance to win something BIG and comfy for your living or family room.

DIY candle in blue and white coffee cup

Have you ever made a candle?  This one has me wanting to make a few of my own. Angie has a great tutorial for candle making newbies like me.

I bought this cute little guy for my living room. He even has two smaller buddies. They hold a small candle, perfect for getting cozy on an autumn night. You will see him when I post my fall home tour on September 17th.

These free Fall prints may just be the thing to kick off your Fall and get you into that cozy, comfy, hot chocolate sipping mode!

Not to miss... Another giveaway… but this one is BIG!  What color would you choose?

Happy Weekend
