Style Scouting: Vol. 252
Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.
Happy Sunday – I feel like I just finished last week’s Style Scouting and here we are with another Style Scouting post and another week of summer gone. Do you feel that the summer is speeding by?
I think it could be that it is so hot and we are staying indoors more and not getting out to enjoy the day more. Or maybe it is my age, who knows. All I do know is with the oppressive heat I have been finding myself thinking of fall more and more with each passing day. :-).
On more exciting news – my daughters and their families – which means my grandkiddies all arrived yesterday to spend the week with us. Getting them all here was a little bit like the movie, Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
My older daughter’s family’s flight from Los Angeles was delayed going to Charlotte, NC which made them miss their connecting flight to the small Columbia, SC airport that is close to us. When they arrive at this airport we take two cars to pick them up.
With no more flights going out of Charlotte last night to Columbia, we didn’t want to drive two cars to Charlotte so we rented an SUV to drive 2 hours to get them. Ed and my cars are too small and won’t fit 3 people, 2 kids in car seats and all the luggage for a long haul, so renting a car made sense. We have done it before as it seems flights are getting delayed more and more.
My younger daughter, her hubbie and Lolly their dog drove from Virginia with no problems and arrived yesterday afternoon.
With all my family around I will be taking this week off so it will be a little quiet here on the blog. I will still try to answer any questions I get from readers this week, but I won’t be posting anything until next Sunday… and if this week speeds by like the rest of the summer has, then it will be here before we know it.
