Style Scouting: Vol. 256

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

Over the weekend, Ed and I headed up to Virginia to not only see our daughter Mandy and son-in-law Matt, but also to attend a home decorating event. I will be sharing what Mandy and I did with you later this week.

For the rest of the weekend, Mandy and I painted their primary bedroom while Ed and Matt hung decorative molding in their dining room.

If you haven’t seen the posts I shared about the other updates we have helped them with you can see them in these two posts: Painting Marathon (open in same tab) & Window Treatment in the Living Room. (open in same tab)

Something to Think About

Be kind, even when others aren’t! (open in same tab)

“In a world that moves a little too fast, it’s the gentle things that remind us to slow down. A stack of books waiting to be read, a sweater that feels like a warm hug, the soft glow of a candle, a blanket to wrap up in, and a cup of coffee (or tea) cradled in your hands — these are the quiet comforts that whisper, “You’re home. Rest awhile.” – Kelly Rowe

  1. Michele M. says:

Clever idea her making that “candy” table – so perfect for a media room!
Loved that scalloped coffee table – so perfect for a cottage look – and the Downton Abbey auction? Be still my heart. My entire women’s tea society group is going to see the final premiere after having an afternoon tea together. Cannot wait. Can’t wait to see the newest improvements at your daughter’s home.

  2. Looking forward to reading about the home decorating event you attended!
