Style Scouting: Vol. 257

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

I hope you are enjoying the Labor Day weekend. Even though fall doesn’t officially arrive until Monday Sep 22, 2025 at exactly 2:19 PM, the fun and carefree vibe of the summer months is over.

Some of you may be sad to see the end of summer, but I don’t mind the transition into fall at all. I look forward to it and getting back into my normal routine once again.

  1. Diane,

Wishing you and your family a Safe and Happy Labor Day!

  2. I have another travel tip! If you are using an electronic boarding pass, screen shot it or better yet get a paper one. If your luggage or gate checked item gets damaged in flight, it will make making a claim much easier. The electronic boarding pass disappears off of the app a few minutes after you land and is replaced by the carousel number for baggage pick up. The airline staff handling claims need the boarding pass information to initiate a claim. They can find it… But it takes a while if they have to do it manually.

  3. Thank you for suggesting the show Will Trent (on Netflix) in a recent post. We watched the whole series. So good!

  4. Jennifer Davis says:

Have you read any books by C. Hope Clark? One series is set on Edisto Island. Mysteries. Jennifer

    1. Diane Henkler says:

Hi Jennifer – Yes I have read C.Hope Clark’s books. She lives in my town also, so her books are well-known here. My husband and I even took a trip to Edisto Island earlier this year to see the place where many of her books take place. :-)
