It’s Super Bowl Sunday. Thank you for stopping by for my weekly collection of ideas, tips and inspiration that I call Style Scouting.

Will you be watching the game?

From what I have been reading, it is going to be a much lower-key super bowl. Ed and I will be watching from home, I will probably be reading while it is on, looking up from my book from time to time to see what is happening. How about you? Are you going to watch or make anything special to munch on?

I haven’t planned ahead for what to serve while we watch. I will have to search for “Superbowl Food for Two” ideas to see if I can whip up something special for Ed and I to eat while we watch the game. Whatever your Sunday night looks like, I hope it is an enjoyable one.

What Was On The Blog This Past Week:

Inspiring Things and Creative Ideas I Found Online This Week

Decorating

I was totally intrigued just reading the words….”on the coast of Maine.” This is one noteworthy home both inside and out.

Looking for a way to add style to plain interior doors? This easy idea will make them look high-end.

This furniture makeover. So good!

A small kitchen gets a colorful makeover.

I have just the place to lean this. Will be thinking of a way to DIY it.

Making

I am a hands-free handbag kind of girl. When I saw this, I loved it. Will be making one to hold my cellphone, keys, lipstick and credit card when I am out & about.

I will also be making a few of these. A smarter way to not only save money when cleaning your home, but also better for the environment.

You know I enjoy repurposing items – like using a tablecloth to make drapes or chair cushions. I wish I had the sewing skills to use a tablecloth to make something as stylish as this blogger did.

Lifestyle

If you enjoyed The Dig on Netflix, here are some interesting facts about the story, what was found and the main characters.

Ed and I are watching Longmire on Netflix. Ed has read a few of the books and wanted to check out the series. I didn’t think I would like it. I was wrong. I am totally enjoying it.

Smart advise to see how your life can become better with less – it’s not just material possessions.

Have you watched this new show yet on the Magnolia Network? Is it worth signing up for Discovery + to see it ?

Need a getaway? Consider some of these isolated short term rentals across the USA where you can avoid crowds and look at water, mountain, or pastoral views for a few days.

This super soft cowl neck tie sweatshirt . I also like the fact that it is slightly longer in the back.

Last but not least. I will leave you with this…my favorite find of the week. Smart advise that CoCo at The Crowned Goat made into this graphic using great advise another home dec blogger – Stacy Risenmay wrote…
