Style Scouting: Vol. 42

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My weekend post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

Here we are and it is mid-May already. After getting back from 10 days away from home, I have been playing catch-up with so many things this week.

One is a redesign of my home page on my blog to appease Google. I will post more about why I am doing this once it is done. You may not even notice the changes.

I have also been working on a few small projects around the house and one big one for the exterior that I have been dragging my feet about doing, but ready to order all the supplies I will need to get it started.

Coming up this week I have an Insta-Style that I was inspired to do after seeing something at Pottery Barn and a post with a few warmer weather bedroom decorating ideas.

I absolutely love the idea of a sleeping porch, but here in Oklahoma, all your bedding would be covered in pollen from March to Sept. My mom and her siblings used to sleep on my grandparents screened in porch in the summer, but they always brought the bedding in the house in the morning because to leave it out all the time meant that it would have permanent yellow stains.

I do love to catnap on the wicker sofa on my screened in back porch though.

      Hi Shannon –

The only time I was able to sleep outside was on a screened porch was at the shore house my parents rented one year. It was such a delight. The pollen issue is real. Here it has slowed down and I actually cleaned it off of my front porch and deck and the outdoor furniture yesterday. Your catnaps sound lovely. It is something I need to do more of. :-)
