Style Scouting: Vol. 76

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

I am heading back home today after two weeks in Los Angeles where I was watching my granddaughter. I had a wonderful time with her. She is doing well after starting a new phase of treatment and I loved being able to spend lots of quality one-on one time with her.

A break away from my daily routine is always nice and gets me recharged and ready to move forward with renewed energy. I have new projects and ideas to share with you coming up over the next few weeks, so stay tuned as I get back into action.

I like this simplicity of this kitchen makeover.

I love everything in this house.

This cute bird feeder.

This repurposing idea is so clever and looks fabulous!

Have you ever seen a pantry like this? The doors are dreamy!!!!!!

When Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies get hard to resist – this is a no/low-cal healthy alternative that hits the spot.

When you are trying to avoid sweets, try this savory Valentine treat.

This pan of just baked out of the oven potatoes looks so good.

Fashion & Beauty

With Covid and mask wearing I haven’t had much need for lipstick, but I couldn’t pass this one by. Just a few dabs of it – gives just the right about of color and polish I like.

  1. Your posts are always so worth reading. I love the house that you shared. One question though….would you use marble instead of quartz on your countertops? I have granite currently but am thinking quartz for the future. I have a marble farmhouse kitchen table and it is so hard to take care of because some products cause it to cloud. I have not found a product to remove cloudiness.

Hi Nancy – Thank you – that is nice to hear. :-). Does marble polishing powder not work to remove the cloudiness? If I were to get new kitchen counters – something I am seriously thinking about myself, I think I would get quartz. It seems the more popular option since it looks great and wears better than marble.
