Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.
As I mentioned in my email earlier this week, I’ve really been focusing on getting the back-end of my blog organized. It is something I should have done a long time ago. It takes focus with spread sheets and analytics. Not something I enjoy, but it has to be done.
I am getting though it, so that is a good thing. :-)
What have you been up to? Vacation, work, or simply enjoying August so far?

What a cute little, colorful cottage/beach shack. I enjoy going through this architect’s portfolio. I am sure I have linked to his home designs before. All his work is classic northeastern seaboard style.

Hi Diane,
The picture above by Patrick Ahearn looks just like your home from the office view! The window is even in the same place looking out over water. What a great inspiration idea for you, if you decide to have a move around. Then you will gain extra space for that bigger kitchen you mentioned. 😊
Hi Elaine – I guess that is the reason why I liked the photo so much. :-) Seeing a glimpse of a water view. I have an expanded kitchen design all planned out in my head. Now I just have to figure out how we can do it.
Thoroughly enjoyed everything, love the variety you’ve put together for us!
The time machine article was spot on. During the beginning of the pandemic a coworker was very upset because she couldn’t find paper towels. When I grew up we didn’t even have paper towels, the “rag” was in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. I think it’s the same with tech tools, if you grew up without them you see them as a luxury, not a necessity.

The Lodge video was amazing.
I loved how proud and excited the employee was as he told about the process of making the cookware.
Thanks for sharing.
