Ring In The New Year

by Diane Henkler on 12/30/2010

This is a quick  post to show you a sweet little place-card that I made for my holiday table.  Since I made them with jingle bells they would be perfect to set your New Year’s table with so you can ring in 2011 in style!

How to make Jingle Bell Place cards

I simply tied 3 jingle bells together with a few strands of curling ribbon.  I then placed computer generated names that I printed on card-stock and then cut out.  I left some extra card-stock to the left of the name to push into one of the jingle bells to hold the name up.  The font I used was Precious  – Size 80 pts.

How to make unique and festive place cards

I used a mirror as a table runner so it would catch the candle light.  It looked very pretty.

The sparkle is perfect for a New Year’s Eve table, Diane! Love the mirror idea and I love the place cards. That would even work for Christmas {next year}!

Love your style. Started following your blog earlier this year and you help me to think outside the box to decorate my home on a budget and with the equipment and skills I already have. I’ll be using a mirror runner with candles on my Christmas table this year. It’s beautiful. Thank you for inspiring a beautiful Christmas even here in hot, sunny Australia.
