Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

Happy Easter! If you celebrate the holiday, I hope that you have a wonderful day and if you work, you get a few days off to enjoy the springtime weather.

This past week has been a total blur after getting back from Los Angeles late last Saturday night. If you read my post last week, I mentioned that both Ed and I got the cold that my daughter’s family had. The littlest one brought the cold home from daycare. :-(

It wiped us out all week. We didn’t start feeling better until Friday. It was and still is a doozy as we are both still not back to 100%, but we are doing everything we can to get it out of our systems and back to business. :-)

Now onto the links I found this week while curled up under a throw blanket. :-)

Decorating

This 6 bedroom home for sale was modeled after Disney’s Haunted Mansion, except it is not scary at all. In fact, if I had 2 million I would want to move right in – it’s very nice.

This happy kitchen renovation.

This California Colonial.

I like every detail in this beach home, but the pocket door in the kitchen – LOVE!

All of this architects homes are dreamy!

DIY

When you can’t get a stuck on lid off of a jar of paint. Try doing one of these things to it.

Making one or more of these would be so cute to place a small gift in or to use as party favors.

If you want to make something have a gold finish and are not sure what to use, this post will help.

Food

Out & About

Now that Spring is here, I want to do more of this.

Fashion & Beauty

This classic cotton dress could also be a stylish beach cover up.

I just bought this high shine nail polish now that my toes are exposed wearing sandals again.

  1. So sorry that you and Ed are still feeling rough. I had that mess in November and December and thought I would never get over it. I especially enjoyed recipes, busyness article and the article on dental health. Thank you for all your hard work especially when not feeling well.

  2. Your links always are so good, and this week is no exception! Lots of excellent links! Thank you. Saving the link about gold finishes for reference and many of the recipes. Can’t believe you could do all this internet research while recovering. Hope you both feel much better very soon.

  3. My husband brought home. California cold from LA a couple weeks back and it was also a DOOZY. I can’t remember the last time I saw him so sick. I worked hard keeping the house sanitized and everyone away from him so thankfully no one got sick. He still has residual. Take care and get well.

  4. Hope you’re feeling better, I had a doozy of a cold in January. The busy article was so insightful. I’m personally not like that, I love to rest, but I have a friend who is constantly running errands & stuff to keep busy & I couldn’t understand why at 70 she doesn’t just relax. Thank you for sharing.

  5. I ordered the Jones bar upon your recommendation, and my husband loves them! They’re now on subscribe and save.
Hope you feel better very soon!
