Style Scouting: Vol. 205

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

Over the summer I have been in the slow lane and haven’t been very inspired to do much around the house. This past week due to Tropical Storm Debby we had a few days of rain and clouds which gave us a break from the heat.

With all the rain and clouds, I actually put on a pair of sweatpants after the first day to keep me cozy as the rainy days made the house feel like fall which I loved! So much so that the coziness got me energized just thinking about a fall vibe in the house. :-)

We still have a few more leisurely summer days ahead that have me not quite ready for fall decor yet, but stay tuned for my post this week about what you can do in the meantime to add new energy to your summer decor before full-on fall.

I am also going to share my first fall decor idea with you. It is something I have never done before that I am still working on. I hope it comes out the way I envision.

Now onto the links I found this week.

Last week I shared a link to this dyed denim dress (open in same tab) that comes in many other colors. I got it in brown to wear in the fall. A few of you asked for a review and wanted to see it on me.

I love it! The dress is well made and fits to size. I am 5’5″ tall and wearing a size Large. I like it so much I am going to order a second one in the color Twilight Blue. (open in same tab)

      Thanks Michele :-)

  2. That dress is adorable on you! Unfortunately, I am 5’8″ and it definitely wouldn’t be adorable on me! And I agree with Nancy your hairstyle is very becoming.

Thanks Dena – My hair has taken a long time to grown the bangs out, but I am so happy that I waited it out through the awkward growing out stage. :-)

  3. I love the way you have styled your hair in the picture where you are wearing the dress. This style is my favorite!

Hi Nancy – Thanks – As I mentioned to another reader, growing my bangs out took a long time, but I am so happy that I waited it out through the awkward growing out stage. :-)

  4. I had already added that brown dress to my list but now that I see it on I’m moving it to the cart. It’s so darn cute. Thanks for modeling it and giving the size, that really helps.

Hi Pamela – The dress is super comfy too. I have only wore it once so far and was stopped a few times from women wanting to know where I got it.
