Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

I had the most enjoyable time this past week with family and the grandkids staying with Ed and I all week. I didn’t get anything done, but playtime which I enjoyed every minute.

Everyone left early this morning so it is just Ed and me in the now quiet house. I plan to spend the day getting the house back in order and then relax with a good book, while in the background Ed will be watching The Masters on TV. Whatever you’re up to today, I hope it’s great!

  • These are the best low-cut socks– ever! They never slip down and come in lots of colors and patterns. I was told about them from a long time TJMaxx sales associate who said when they get them in stock they sell out immediately. (open in same tab)

Just finished The Frozen River yesterday. Now reading an excerpt from A Midwife’s Tale by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich. This book is based on Martha’s diaries and looks deeper into her life and the society she lived. I have never been much of a historical fan but Martha’s life is fascinating.

  2. Thanks so much for sharing the photos of the cottage updated by Sarah Richardson. I really enjoyed the bright colors & antique furniture. The article about “Being More Like Grandma” was great. I’m 72 years old & thought there was a lot of truth in it.

  3. I love Sarah and lake Erie is my old stomping grounds.
