Style Scouting: Vol. 246

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

It has been a very rainy and windy spring in South Carolina. I am hoping it is not a prelude to what the summer will be like since I will be taking over the weekly lawn duties from Ed. He is getting his right shoulder replaced this week and will be out of commission for a while. A soggy lawn is not easy to cut.

Ed showed me how to start and use all the controls on the riding tractor-style mower yesterday. I have only used the push mower in the past. Once I start cutting the grass I know I am going to feel like Mr. Douglas and start singing… “Green Acres is the place to be. Farm livin’ is the life for me. Land spreadin’ out so far and wide…”

If you have no idea what I am referencing… you didn’t grow up in the late 1960’s – early 1970’s. :-)

Anywho… Whatever you’re up to this week. I hope it’s wonderful. XO

Now onto the links I found for you this week.

  1. Riding lawnmowers are fun. In this season in my life, I’m using a completely manual reel lawnmower. It’s definitely good for exercise. :) Hope Ed recovers quickly from the shoulder replacement, that does not sound fun at all.

Love the cupcake bouquets. The magical questions one was odd to me… I found all of the questions boring, except for the favorite animal one. Maybe I’m just mentally a 7 year old? Lol. Ask me about the weather and weekend plans instead, please.

Love your scoutings this week, D! That tea kettle is adorable and I always enjoy the decorator finds. I just put those reusable bowl covers in my cart – been wanting them for a while b/c my hubs always uses cling wrap and I REALLY do not like one use plastic use EVER. Do they hold up well? Do you have them?

Sorry about Ed having to have shoulder surgery – ugh. Wish him a happy father’s day for me and let him know I am saying prayers for his surgery and recovery. You are amazing learning to mow. I have never mowed before. We have a push mower (hubs refuses to get a tractor mower till he can’t do it anymore) and we have almost 3 acres, so no thank you on that. LOL. Have a good week.
