Style Scouting: Vol. 254

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

This past week (after the previous week that was filled with a houseful of family) was going to be all about getting back into my normal routine, which usually is walking in the morning, prepping food, running errands and then working on a DIY project or two, taking photos and writing posts. Then ending the day reading or watching something on TV, but none of this happened.

Instead I caught the daycare cold from my grandson when he was here that kept me on a recliner for 4 days — home projects, fitness and other stuff had to be put on the backburner.

In a way it felt good to not be able to do anything, plus it was overcast, cloudy and rainy everyday which made the house feel cozy, which I didn’t take for granted. Having the house and weather feel cozy made me just go with doing nothing. It also made me excited more than my usual excitement for the coming of fall.

I am looking forward to the change of pace that fall brings. It is also the start of the busy blogging season so I need to get myself ready. So far on my list of late summer, early fall projects is redoing the painted countertops in my kitchen and a few other crafty and decorative projects.

For now though, I plan to keep relaxing and enjoying what the rest of the summer brings.

Now onto the links I found for you this week.
