Style Scouting: Vol. 290

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

maypole at a flower farm

Hello… Happy first weekend in May and the joy of spring flowers blooming everywhere.

Ed and I have been spending the last few days in Virginia to watch our 6-month old grandson, which is a pure delight!

Yesterday we attended a baby shower brunch at a flower farm were there was a Maypole that all the attendees, including the little kids could take part in.

If you are not familiar with the springtime ritual of the Maypole dance, participants dance around a decorated, tall wooden pole holding colorful ribbons. Each person holds one ribbon and weaves them into an intricate braided pattern on the pole as they circle the pole in opposite directions.

The last time I wove around a Maypole was when I was in 6th grade. Did you ever dance around one?

I hope your first week of May is a good one and there are lots of pretty blooming flowers around you to delight your senses.

Now onto the links I found for you this week.
