Style Scouting: Vol. 292

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

This past week Ed and I took off for a week to relax in Hilton Head. It is about a 3-hour drive from our home. We go every year in May when it is not too hot and before the crowds start.

One of our favorite pastimes besides just sitting on the beach and reading or gazing at the ocean is to enjoy biking on the beach in the morning. We picked a great week since low tide was in the morning making the beach huge and easy to ride on.

When we lived in Pennsylvania we went biking almost every weekend in the warmer months and even made it a priority when we went to Paris. We don’t have many long bike trails around us on the lake, so getting to bike on the beach is something we look forward to every year.

Now that we are home I miss getting up early to go biking. Being home also has me back to getting a few details completed on the deck refinishing project that has been taking up so much of my time.

I hope whatever you are up to this week that is a good one.

Now onto the links I found for you this week.

  • Last week while on vacation I got this set of pretty colored glasses as a belated holiday gift from a friend who vacationed with us. Now that I am home, I am enjoying drinking from them and seeing the pop of colors when I open my kitchen cabinet to get one out to use. (open in same tab)
