Style Scouting: Vol. 313

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. This is where we will share the random stuff that captured our attention or inspired us that we found online.

First fire of the season!

It’s finally happened! The day I’ve been waiting for since March. We had a day that was cool enough to build a fire in the wood stove! Granted – we did have to crack the windows as the day went on because it does too good a job of heating up the great room area of the house. I also won’t mention that it was in the mid-eighties within the same week.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the warm weather and I’m not a big fan of the cold. However, snuggling up on the couch in front of the fireplace with a soft throw blanket is truly one of my greatest joys.

The nip in the air does have me considering holiday season decorations, though. Halloween isn’t quite here yet, but I’m already thinking about decorating for Thanksgiving. We have a lot of ideas and projects coming up which I’m excited about – I can’t wait to share them.

First, I’m just about done with the home tour post. That should go up on the site this week. It sort of sets the stage for our decorating and project plans in the coming weeks and months.

I hope you have a “spooky” Halloween week ahead filled with more treats than tricks! For now, I’ve found plenty of goodies for you in this week’s Style Scouting.
