Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Mine has been filled with lots of granddaughter Zoe time and a trip to the Farmer’s Market.
Ed and I are in Charlottesville to help our older daughter and son-in-law pack a moving POD so they can start their move to Los Angeles. :-(
But before they head west, they are coming to our house for a few relaxing days on the lake this week. My younger daughter will be coming also, so I have an exciting week ahead.
Last night we got to go out to an outdoor summer concert.
Everyone was so excited for the concert. From the Broadway performers to the audience and the organizers of the event after not being able to do so for the past 16 months.
It was fun to finally have a reason to actually get out of shorts and a tee. I wore this casual dress. My daughter Mandy’s boyfriend was the pianist so that made the event and evening even more special. It was a perfect night all around.
Ed and I are heading back home now to get ready for a house full of family.

As always, thanks so much for reading. XO
Looks like a fun outdoor concert – looks like we are really getting back to “normal”! Thanks for posting the link to the great interview with Alice Waters. I wasn’t aware that she has a new book out. Enjoy your time with your family!
Thank you Linda – I ordered the new Alice Waters book, but haven’t had a chance to read it yet. Looking forward to it.
Thank you so much for the weekend feature love, friend! Hugs to you guys – hope you are all well!
Hi Ashley – I have enjoyed watching you make your house your own over the last few years and that of your clients. It looks like you are going to be starting another big one soon. Looking forward to seeing your plans and following your progress.
We just moved my daughter from Charleston to West Hollywood last week. Just an FYI, as we entered California we had to surrender all of her beloved houseplants to the Department of Agriculture. Wish we had known, I would have kept them! Good luck to your daughter and her family.
Hi Jane – Sorry to hear that your daughter had to surrender her houseplants. :-( When Ed and I moved to California back in the 1980’s the same thing happened to us, plus they took all the apples I had in the car. No one told us that would happen. I told my daughter so they will be in the know.
They are here at my house now and will be leaving on Sunday for their trek across the country.
Enjoy your family time! Miss you
Hi Laura – Thank you. I will. The house is filled with family right now with more coming tomorrow. It is going to be one full house. I am hoping the weather stays nice so we get lots of time out on the lake.
