Style Scouting: Vol. 49
To all my American readers… Happy 4th of July.
Ed and I celebrated the 4th yesterday afternoon into the evening with friends. We floated on the lake in tubes and noodles, had a leisurely dinner and then went out on the boat around 9:00 to watch the fireworks show over the lake.
The show is synced to patriotic music on the local radio station that the hundreds of boats out on the lake are tuned into. It was a nice way to celebrate and we enjoy doing it every year.
Do you have any special plans today?

This home may be over the top, but I love the mix of wood and white throughout.
A very colorful home tour.
So many beautiful decorating details in this home.
This reclaimed wood ceiling…. and the whole kitchen!
An historic home that kept its charm even after being updated.
I love white dinner plates and am thinking I am going to update mine with this set.
Outdoors
This speaker can even be used outside when entertaining.
DIY
I have always wanted to do this with a pretty bowl.
Food
Make these today for your 4th of July picnic or for a healthier treat, these are easy to make.
If you like Margarita’s you will probably like this drink.
Lasagna like you have never seen before.
These look delish to make and serve at a summer picnic instead of hot dogs and hamburgers.
Fashion & Beauty
I love that this casual dress has pockets.
