Fall arrives this week? It is my favorite season that I eagerly await each year.
I got one post completed this week and worked on a few fall projects that I will post over the next two weeks. I even made a few decorative items for my younger daughter who just bought a house and will be closing in two weeks.
If you are reading this on Sunday morning, then I am on a plane to Los Angeles to stay for an extended time to help my daughter and son-in-law with my granddaughter Zoe’s care. If you missed my post last week, then please email me to find out the reason I will be away from home.
And lastly – thank you for all your thoughts and prayers and many messages and emails you have sent me after my post last Sunday. They mean a lot to me and have helped me stay positive. XO
Posts You May Have Missed This Week:
Now onto the inspiring links I found this week.
Decorating
A house makeover where I previously shared one room with you. Here is the whole house before and after tour.
I have a cabinet to do this with, I just need the right wall space.
Such a sweet and stylish cottage to stay in.
DIY
I have always wanted to do this.
Don’t like using bleach to lighten pine cones to use to decorate your home for fall, try this method.
I would like to do this on a table top.
Crafts
An easy to make fall centerpiece.
Food
I just ordered this book. I am eager to read it to find some new meal ideas.
Doable ideas that make meal prepping easier.
Oh yum!… this looks like the perfect dessert to celebrate the arrival of fall.
Home Improvement
Really cool home features I think we all would like to have in our homes.
Fashion & Beauty

When my sister visited me in the summer, she had a very nice travel Convertible Backpack Crossbody Tote Bag With Trolley Sleeve that fit right over the handle on her carry-on suitcase.
I loved it and bought a black one to go with my carry-on. Now I can travel in style and ease walking through airports. I am using it for my trip to Los Angeles today.
It comes in a variety of colors and patterns from polka dots, flowers and camo like the one in the photo.
Fun & Interesting
Cant sleep? Doing this worked for me.
I enjoyed this holiday countdown calendar the last two years. The 2021 just came out. If you like it, they always sell out fast and then the only way to get one is to buy from a reseller selling them for double the price.
Print these to use when you are feeling overwhelmed and stressed out.
The comfort in your grandmother’s recipes.
I like art and creative ideas, but I don’t get this – so much time and 16.5 million for only 16 days?
Something To Think About
Become a better traveler.
She is one amazing lady!!!

Your daughter and son in law are very lucky to have you! My granddaughter was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 3 1/2. It was frightening for everyone. Fortunately I live only about 25 min away and was able to help with the other children while my daughter stayed in the hospital with Eleanor. After 2yrs of chemo she was cancer free and is now a healthy 7 yr. old. My thoughts are with you and your family.
I don’t know what happened but heartfelt wishes for safe travels and strength the help Zoe and family.
Hi Karen – Thanks for your note and heartfelt wishes. Zoe was diagnosed with leukemia a month ago. Since I can work from anywhere, I didn’t think twice about going to Los Angeles where my help was needed and am so happy that I have been a huge help for not only Zoe, but my daughter and son-in-law.
Prayers for Zoe and for you and your entire family.

Really enjoyed the variety of things you brought up today.
Did enjoy the plaster table, but finding the video on her website was a bit of a challenge. I find your website so much easier to navigate. Also – this is the same as the ‘cement bowls’ you made, right?
Hope all goes well for you and your loved ones.
Hi Kat – thank you. It is nice to hear that my site is easier to navigate. I agree with you about the video and wasn’t going to share it, but I liked how it turned out. I am in Los Angeles now and so glad I can help my daughter and son-in-law with Zoe’s care.
Please know that Zoe is in my thoughts along with the entire family. 🙏🙏🙏
Sending love & prayers to your family XO
