Style Scouting: Vol. 310

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. This is where we will share the random stuff that captured our attention or inspired us that we found online.

It’s incredible how much shorter the days are now compared to just a week ago. In fact, daylight is more than two hours shorter than it was back in June! That shift naturally leads to spending more time indoors and enjoying activities I’ve been putting off. For instance, my daughter and I decided to learn how to embroider. It’s entirely new to me, but I always love picking up a new skill – and I’m thrilled she wants to do it together.

Shorter days also mean squeezing outdoor tasks into a tighter window, making everything feel a bit more busy and hectic. And what a busy week it’s been! I’m writing this Sunday Scouting post earlier than usual because we’re hosting a college friends’ reunion this Saturday. We try to gather annually on a rotating basis, and this year it’s our turn to host.

We look forward to this reunion every year and are excited to have everyone over. Still, preparing the house and food brings a bit of stress. I keep reminding myself that the most important thing is simply sharing time with friends and family, rather than worrying about every little detail looking perfect.

By the time this posts on Sunday morning, we’ll be enjoying a cup of coffee, reminiscing about the weekend, and looking forward to a quiet week ahead. Despite the busy schedule, I still managed to gather a few great finds for this week’s Sunday Scouting! Below are some stylish pieces and fun items I’ve been loving lately.

I love growing fresh produce, but as the temperatures have started dropping, my outdoor garden is pretty much done producing. I love the idea of growing a few fresh herbs throughout the winter and I have plenty of mason jars on hand. If you don’t, you could always use sauce or pickle jars once you have used the contents.
