Happy May Day!

It has been beautiful here the past week. The best kind of weather for painting… which I have been doing a lot of. I am happy to say that 98% of the paint part of the decorating projects I am working on are done.

Everything is coming together. I will post one of the most colorful projects with you this week. Hint – It is green and I used a sponge to paint it.

Posts You May Have Missed This Week:

Decorating

Eye candy for all home decor and architecture lovers.

Movie night snacks that almost steal the show.

DIY

I have a large button collection. I have never made one of these, but will now.

Tips for painting furniture and not leaving any brush marks.

I think one of these would go nicely in my white & woodsy decor.

Home Improvement

Good to know when you can’t clean certain items in your home.

Food

A fun way to serve salad.

This will be nice to serve for a gathering.

Last week I linked to a chocolate cake. How about this chocolate ice cream?

Fashion & Beauty

Comfy Pull-On Linen Shorts with pockets.

Cute summer Pj’s.

This shirtdress. Love it. I have it in a solid color and now this new print. Size down.

Out & About

Did you know you can buy home decorating fabric on Amazon? I didn’t. So many brands from Magnolia to Robert Kaufman and more.

Fun & Interesting

This is one very clever and useful quilt!!! I love the ingenuity behind it!

Something to Think About

Every city should be doing this.

  1. Another great post! I can’t wait to try the Asian salad. Please keep those recipes coming! Thank you for always helping me decide what’s for dinner.

  2. During Covid lockdown in 2020 I looked on Amazon for home dec fabric on a total whim. I was very happy to find exactly what I was looking for and at a pretty good price. I had a large wall in my spare bedroom that I wanted a big piece of art for. I made a large wooden frame and stretched the heavy fabric over it and secured it with my stapler.

  3. FYI…Amazon owns fabric.com. Much easier to search than amazon.com if they might carry what you want. And if the fabric.com item is also offered for sale on amazon.com (most are), they provide a link to your Amazon Cart. If Prime member, shipping is free, regardless of price. (I currently have a Magnolia Home item that I found on fabric.com…for recovering chair seats…awaiting purchase on Amazon. :) )

Any update on changes you were making to your home’s entry and front of the house?

Hi Cam – I didn’t know any of this. Thanks for taking the time to tell me. As far as the front entry – we still have plans to add a modern style railing, but many of our projects were put on hold when our granddaughter got sick and we we have been traveling out to Calif frequently. I hope to get it done soon as it really needs it added. I will post as soon as we get the project completed.
