3 Holiday-Ready Rooms with Just 1 Fir Set from King of Christmas

I’ve partnered with King of Christmas to share how I used their artificial King Noble 4-Piece Fir Set in some unexpected ways around my home for the upcoming holiday season.

Every year, I love challenging myself to use familiar Christmas decorations in a new way — mixing things up, moving them around, and finding fresh uses for pieces I already have. It’s amazing how a little reimagining can make your home feel brand new without spending a dime.

That’s exactly what inspired me when I started decorating with the 4-Piece Fir Set from King of Christmas this year. They make many types of artificial Christmas trees and greenery.

When I first saw the 4-Piece Fir Sets from King of Christmas — that include a garland, a wreath, and the pair of matching three-foot trees — I could see exactly why they show the these sets styled together on their website.

All four pieces arranged around a fireplace look beautifully coordinated and classic. But this year, I wanted to shake things up a bit and use the King Noble Fir set I chose in my own way — a way that felt a little more unexpected and a lot more personal.

Instead of grouping all four pieces together in the classic way around a fireplace, I decided to split them up and give each one its own moment somewhere else in the house. I treated each piece like a little decorating opportunity — something that could add a touch of Christmas magic to a different corner of my home.

And oh, the best part, it was easy!

Wreaths Don’t Have to Be Hung

Let’s start with the wreath. Instead of hanging it on a wall or door, I placed it flat around the base of a lamp on the dresser in my guest room.

The soft fir branches instantly dressed up the lamp and will create a cozy glow at night when the pre-lit battery-operated lights are on. It’s such an easy little trick, but it gives the whole room a festive, welcoming feel — perfect for holiday guests.

Lit Garland & Ribbon = Holiday Magic

In the second guest room, I used the 9-ft garland in a way I hadn’t tried before.

I swagged it across the top of the bed’s headboard and tied the middle and each end in place with wide green satin ribbon tied into bows.

It added just the right amount of holiday cheer without feeling fussy — like the bed is wearing a bit of Christmas finery.

I love how the satin ribbons create interest against the texture of the garland and catches the light. With this one garland, the whole room feels dressed for the season.

Mini Trees in Porch Planters

And the pair of three-foot trees? They found their home outdoors, on the steps of my front porch.

I removed the decorative burlap covering that came on the bases, then cut off the foam around the concrete bases so the trees would fit perfectly into two glazed stone planters I already had on my steps where I usually have seasonal flowers.

That one little change made the pair of trees look more substantial and custom — like something from a boutique garden shop.

To make them even more festive, I tied on shiny jingle bells with red velvet ribbon. To see how I used these jingle bells in previous years, be sure to see this Christmas Home Tour.

Reimagining The 4-Piece Set

What I love most about splitting up the set is how it spreads the holiday feeling throughout my house — instead of concentrating all that greenery in one room, I get little moments of Christmas joy in several places.

It’s the same four pieces, but used in four completely different ways, and the whole house feels more cohesive and creative because of it.

Reimagining this 4-piece set reminded me why I love decorating so much — it’s all about creativity, not perfection. You don’t need a shopping spree or a brand-new collection every season.

Sometimes, the most beautiful ideas come from simply seeing what you already own with fresh eyes. A wreath can become a centerpiece, garland can frame a bed, and little trees can make your front steps come alive.

So if you ever buy a matching holiday set, don’t feel like you have to display it exactly as it’s shown. Think of each piece as its own chance to add some holiday spirit wherever your home could use a little extra twinkle. Sometimes the best decorating ideas come when you take something meant to go together — and let it shine apart.

Remember as you unpack your holiday bins this year, try playing around a bit before you start decorating. Move things around. Mix, match, and experiment. You might be surprised by how a few simple shifts can make everything feel new again — all while keeping your style completely your own.

King of Christmas Sells 4 Different Styles of Fir Sets

Each of the sets King of Christmas sells come unlit or pre-lit. If choosing a pre-lit set, you can choose between warm and cool lights. The trees and garland lights are plug-in. For the pre-lit wreath you will need to use “D” batteries.

All the pieces also come with timers that run on “D” batteries. I only used the timer that is attached to the wreath. The on/off and timer buttons are on the bottom of the wreath. Since I have it on top of a dresser, I won’t have to lift it up every day to turn it on and off.
