I have exciting news to share…I know Christmas is a few months away…but when you love the season as much as I do and like to make festive decorations and gifts you can never start too early, right?

Back in January, a Better Homes & Garden editor and photographer came to my house to take photos of my holiday decor for their annual Christmas Ideas magazine. See the Christmas Home Tour.

Guess what, the 2014 issue of BHG Christmas Ideas came out this week. I saw it when I was standing in line at Michaels.

My home is featured along with numerous other homeowners and bloggers’ homes. There are lots of different decorating styles to inspire you. Plus pages of projects and ideas on how to festively decorate, make ornaments, gift wrapping ideas, and more.

I have not purchased a magazine in years because of no funds, but this one I will buy because you two and your home is featured. My boyfriend says it is all fake and someone else does all the crafts and I told him that some may, but NOT you. I know you are real and do all you post for real. If not, not …. like your floors being redone, you are totally honest. I know because of stuff you have answered to me and helped me with.

Wanted to tell you that Saturday I went looking for this magazine at Hobby Lobby. So excited when I found it. Plus they let me use my 40% off coupon so the magazine was really a deal! I took it home and put it up until closer to Christmas. Right now I am happy to be playing around w/ my fall decor. I’ll think about Christmas in late November. So happy for you that you are in this beautiful magazine. Love your site!!

That’s wonderful, Diane! I remember you saying your re-decorated for Christmas. I just saw this magazine at the check out stand but didn’t get it yet (I’m still putting off reading my Cottage Journal Autumn issue!). Now that I know this is the one you are in, I will pick it up next time I’m out.

How wonderfully exciting! Because you’re featured I’m going to purchase a copy. But ya know, I do have to laugh when I see things like the magazine’s cover where it says “Holiday Elegance on a Budget”. Everyone has a “budget”…some just have bigger or smaller budgets than others :-)
