How to Make a Fall Wreath for Under $10

by Diane on 09/16/2011

It is Friday and that means two delightful things:

1.  It is FRIDAY! and a beautiful one. That is worth celebrating.  The air changed overnight. It feels like a fall morning. The sun is shining and the air is crisp and clear.  What a delicious way to start the weekend.  I had to do something to celebrate and grabbed an old wreath that was in my basement and put it on my side door.  It is just a bunch of craft store leaves and little bits of raffia stuck into a grapevine wreath, but it says-

Dollar Store Decorating - Fall Wreath

Yeah! Autumn – You have arrived.

It is the easiest fall wreath I ever made.  I used a basket to decorate my front door.

Tip:  I painted the brass door hanger to match my door.  This way is becomes invisible.

2.  My weekly DIY Momtastic.com post is up.  This week I transformed yard sale finds for my furry kids – Trax, Mittens, and Schnitzel into decorative pet food containers. I was inspired by the ones in the Ballard Designs catalog.

Hi, the pet containers are so adorable! What a great way to disguise the food & make it blend in with home decor! I have a dog so I’m always loving ideas like this! Visiting from Serenity Now!

I like the idea that you put leaves in your wreath, they made them very colorful. I love wreaths and I love to change them out for holidays and seasons.
