8 Easy to Do Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas that Will Add Festive Fall Style
It is November. You know what that means, right? The holidays are here – with Thanksgiving happening soon. To help you prepare I thought I would gather a few of my posts on Thanksgiving table setting ideas that I did the past few years.
I serve pretty much the same menu every year; we love tradition, but I do like to change up the table setting. When I worked in display – setting all the display tables was my favorite part of the job as I could use any or all of the merchandise the store sold to create colorful and exciting tables to entertain around. At home, I have a limited amount of china, dishes, and platters to use so I have to get creative to make it look different year to year.
I know I am going to enjoy setting the table on the my new weathered driftwood finished table, burlap & polka dot runner, and chalkboard or glass tile place cards that I recently posted, but I still have to come up with a centerpiece, though.
Last year I made these brown bag place card holders. You use the bottom of the bag, presto-chango ! – a place card holder.

I made use of the mantel and set it up as a side table and bar.
This is one of my Dads genius ideas. How to enlarge a table for extra seating. He not only made one for my dining room table, but for his and my sisters’ tables, too.
I like using the color brown at Thanksgiving and used Kraft paper to make these round placemats and leaf place cards.
I created a few Thanksgiving posts over at Momtastic, too. It is where you will find the tutorial for these DIY candle holders.

I love them all. And the table top your dad made is priceless. I was planning to make my own rectangle farm house table, but gosh this is such a clever idea for the occasional large group.
I think I forgot to compliment your gorgeous refinished floors….. they are spectacular.
