I have grouped all my easy and affordable sewn and no sew window treatments together so you can easily find them in one place.
To find all the window treatments, click over to the gallery —-> Window Treatment Project Gallery.
If you are out and about this week and see Paula Deen smiling at you on the cover of First Magazine as you are waiting in the check-out line, please pick her up and turn to page 91.
Four of the no-sew window treatments I made and posted about here on InMyOwnStyle are being featured in this July 1, 2013 issue. It’s always flattering to see your work in a national magazine feature. An exciting mid-week surprise! I feel honored and blessed that my work will be seen by many non blog readers.
I knew the feature was coming out, but I expected to see it in July. I love how the magazine breaks projects down to make the instructions easy to follow.
That is what they did for this two page feature. Instead of a two-page spread, the two pages are back to back. You can cut the page into 4 and have a “How-To” recipe card style clipping for each window treatment – One side has the photo, the other the instructions. Pretty smart and handy, right?
Three of the treatments featured, I made for my daughter’s apartments. They both are going to think it is cool to see something hanging in their apartment in a magazine.
I hope the feature helps many others who are not familiar with my blog or affordable ways to decorate in general – realize that decorating does not have to be expensive or beautiful results hard to achieve.
Right now I am working on another no sew window shade for my mud room. I am still working on it, but should have it done by next week.
If you would like to see the posts of the window treatments featured in the magazine – here are the links.

Hi Diane,
It’s amazing , every time I need a something for my remodeled house, you post a solution on your blog in the next day or so!
Your projects are so well-written and easy to follow.
My skylight in my master bathroom makes the entire room too hot.
What would you suggest for me to cover it with?
Thanks very much,
